Catriona was a scholarship student with Doris Keogh at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under renowned teachers and flautists Trevor Wye, Richard Davis (Principal Flute, BBC Philharmonic) & Patricia Morris (Principal Piccolo, BBC Symphony Orchestra). Catriona is Flute Section Leader of National Symphony Orchestra Ireland and has performed with the BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia and The Hallé, undertaking Guest Principal Flute engagements when her orchestra schedule allows. She is a founding member of Cassiopeia Winds, Ireland’s celebrated Wind Quintet, who feature in many concert series and music festivals around Ireland, including the Vogler Quartet’s International Festival of Chamber Music, New Ross Piano Festival, West Wicklow Festival, NCH Sounding The Feminists Series, Music for Galway’s Midwinter Festival, Wood Quay Summer Sessions and the NCH Chamber Music Series. Cassiopeia Winds regularly receive touring awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, and particularly enjoy regional performances. Keen performers of contemporary music, they have collaborated with emerging composers from the Irish Composers Collective, Masters students from Maynooth University and are actively involved in commissioning partnerships with composers from the Contemporary Music Centre, Dublin. Their world premiere performances have included works by Adele O’Dwyer, Philip Hammond, as well as Wind Quintets written for them by eminent composers such as John Buckley, Jonathan Nangle and Raymond Deane. Catriona frequently performs as soloist with various ensembles, most notably in her numerous Concerto appearances with her own orchestra, the NSOI. Her recital partners have included celebrated pianists Finghin Collins and Fiachra Garvey as well as collaborations with Melvyn Tan and the Con Tempo Quartet. She performed with violinist Daragh Morgan as soloist in Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.5 following the Fidelio Trio’s invitation to their “Chamber Music on Valentia” Series and more recently travelled to Glasgow to perform Damase’s Duo Concertant for Flute and Harp. On top of her busy performance schedule, she has an active career tutoring, teaching, giving masterclasses, examining and adjudicating for bodies including the Royal Irish Academy of Music, EUYO, MTU Cork School of Music, TU Conservatoire Dublin, National Youth Orchestra, the National Concert Hall and Junior School of Trinity Laban Conservatoire, London. Along with her orchestral commitments, Catriona has hosted pre-concerts talks with conductors and soloists for the NSOI and enjoys the opportunity it affords her to meet the audience up close. She has also taken on the role of presenter for the NSOI in a live-streamed concert broadcast on RTÉ Culture and the NSOI YouTube channel. Catriona has recorded a CD as soloist in Fauré’s Fantaisie for flute and orchestra on the Naxos label with National Symphony Orchestra Ireland.

David began his musical journey in Artane, where he received a wonderful music education before completing a Bachelor of Arts in Music, majoring in clarinet performance, and culminated in winning the O'Carroll Cup for his performance of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto in his final year. In 2004, David was appointed clarinettist with The Band of An Garda Síochána and since 2005 has been on the teaching staff at ASM, where he teaches both clarinet and saxophone. As a graduate of Artane, David finds it incredibly rewarding working with young players on a similar path. David is passionate about music pedagogy and encourages students far beyond technique alone, aiming to foster a lifelong appreciation of music and understands that instrumental tuition enhances student’s cognitive development, builds emotional resilience, boosts confidence and expands horizons beyond ASM through the transferable skills attained here.

Brian hails from Artane and is a former member of the Artane Boys Band, along with his three brothers. From the age of 9 he also studied French Horn in The Royal Irish Academy of Music under Victor Malirsh. At the age of 16 while still in secondary school, Brian commenced as a freelance French Horn player with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra for 31 years and is approaching his 42 nd year freelancing with the RTE Concert Orchestra. He has played with every professional orchestra in Ireland and has had the pleasure of working with International performers from Pavarotti, Josh Groban to John Lord and Irish performers from Christy Moore, Johnny Logan to Sharon Shannon. Brian obtained a BAMus(Hons) Degree in Waterford an L.G.S.M.,Hons Performers Diploma from Trinity/Guildhall London and his M.A. From NUI Maynooth. Brian is a Teacher in the City of Dublin ETB since 1995 and is the Director, Tutor and Musical Director of the Performance Course in the FET College Liberties. He is also the Musical Director and Conductor of the Stedfast Band since 1997 to date. Brian come from a very musical family and plays Trumper, Tuba, Euphonium and other instruments from the Brass section. He is also a substitute Brass & Theory teacher and Deputy Conductor in the Artane School of Music. Playing in Croke Park in the band back in 1979 and Conducting the National Anthem with the Artane Band in the All Ireland Quarter & Semi Finals a few years ago are in his top 10 Musical moments of all time! Brian is not afraid to mention that Mr O’Reilly taught him Grade 4 Piano back in 1987 for a year before he started his degree, and he Passed! For over a decade Brian has been teaching in the Artane School of Music and is still enjoying teaching the young musicians of the future!

Grace began her trumpet career at the age of 8 in Bailieborogh School of Music, Cavan. She is now an instrumentalist in the Arm No.1 Band. She enlisted into the Defence Forces School of Music in 2018 and began her army journey in Band 2 Brigade, Athlone. Grace has completed her Bachelor’s in Music Performance in the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM). She studied in RIAM with Colm Byrne and David Collins for the duration of her degree. Grace has played in many ensembles which have led to performances in Austria, Croatia and the USA. She has also performed with groups such as Celtic Woman, the Goethe Choir and the Royal Irish Academy Philharmonic Orchestra and Big Band.

Michael began playing the trombone with the Mayfield Brass Band in Cork when he was 9. Three yeas later he joined the Cork School of Music and was a student there until he graduated with a BMus in 2001. In 2003 he graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with an MMus and after this received the Archers Jazz Scholarship at Trinity College London, specialising in music of the big band era. Michael was a freelance trombonist in London and Ireland for ten years and has played in many different ensembles, styles and genres such as both the RTE Symphony and Concert Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Wexford Festival Opera, Ulster Orchestra, Crash Ensemble, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony, Liverpool Philharmonic, Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, West End musicals and touring musical productions, some of which include Fame, Chicago, Annie, Legally Blonde, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, White Christmas, Fiddler on The Roof and many more. He has played with the Glenn Miller UK Big Band, Jay Craig Big Band, Bobby Lamb Big Band and is a member of The Bones of Cork. Michael was appointed Associate Principal Trombone of the RTE Concert Orchestra in November 2011 and is currently a Courtois/Besson trombone artist. As well as an orchestral musician Michael is an active lower brass teacher and conductor and is currently musical director/conductor and teacher with the St. Louis School Symphony Orchestra in Rathmines and lower brass teacher and junior band conductor with the Finglas Concert and Marching Band. Michael has been a guest conductor/teacher/examiner at the Cork School of Music CIT and guest conductor of the Mayfield Brass Band, Ballincollig Concert Band, Ardee Concert Band and at Dublin Brass Week. Michael is also an active soloist performing many recitals around Ireland, most notably as guest soloist with the Irish Youth Wind Ensemble in 2013 where he also did a workshop for all the brass instruments.

Jack is a Dublin-born tuba player. He studied his undergraduate degree at TUDublin Conservatoire under the tuition of Conor O'Riordan, for which he received a first class honours in performance. In 2020, he went on to complete a postgraduate degree in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, having received the prestigious George Moore Scholarship to fund this endeavor. Upon returning to Ireland in 2023, Jack now holds a position as tuba player with the Defence Forces School of Music, currently posted with Band 2 Brigade in Athlone. He has also works on a freelance basis with various performing ensembles, appearing regularly with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Irish National Opera, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, and having previously worked with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Royal National Scottish Orchestra, and Ulster Orchestra. Outside of his career as a performing musician, Jack is an avid music teacher, holding the position of Tuba and Euphonium Tutor at the Artane School of Music and Brass Tutor with the Sandyford Youth Band and Kilternan School of Music, providing individual tuition on all brass instruments and group coaching for bands/chamber music.

Eugene’s drumming career began in 1968 when he joined the Artane Boys Band. This was when the membership of the Band was opened up to boys living on the northside of the city. His first appearance with the band was in Croke Park, in 1969, marching in civilian clothes as the bandroom had burned down and all uniforms, instruments and equipment were destroyed. He had great experiences with the band touring around Ireland. He also had an exciting trip touring America in 1974, where they played in Boston, New York, Washington and Philadelphia. Being in the band gave solid foundation for life skills and friendships, some of which have lasted to this day Following on from Artane Eugene enjoyed a very successful career, for over 30 years, in the Band of An Garda Siochana. This involved extensive travel both in Ireland and abroad playing at a variety of State events, sporting occasions and community settings. Eugene thoroughly enjoys his time as a teacher in Artane and always encourages his students to further their education and to follow their love of music . He is extremely proud that many students have gone on to employment in the music industry as performers and administrators.

Audrey has been teaching violin at Artane School of Music since 2012. She was a full time violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland from 1981 until 2019 during which time the orchestra performed around Ireland, Germany, Austria, the UK, Holland, North America, China and Romania She has also been involved with institutions such as RIAM, Dublin Youth Orchestras and St. Agnes Community Centre for Music and the Arts as an orchestral coach. Audrey studied violin at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and after at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2011 Audrey completed a Masters degree with Distinction (Music Teaching in Professional Practice) from Reading University.

Luke is a Dublin based pianist and recent graduate of Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he completed the Artist Diploma Programme under the tutilege of Carole Presland, Charles Owen and Ronan O’Hora. He also holds a Masters in Performance from Guildhall, as well as a Bachelor of Music from TUDublin Conservatoire where he studied with Dr. Mary Lennon.  An experienced performer both in competitions and on the concert platform, Luke made his solo recital debut in the National Concert Hall, Dublin in January 2023. He has also performed in recitals throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom as well as Paris in the Centre Culturel Irlandais. In February 2023, Luke performed in Wigmore Hall as part of the Irish Heritage Music Bursary auditions where he was the recipient of the Music Bursary for Performance. Luke won first prize in the 2024 Glass Sellers Beethoven Prize at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was a semi finalist in the Livorno International Piano Competition in 2025. He is also a finalist of the Birmingham International Piano Competition, 2026.  Luke himself has engaged in several piano masterclasses and lessons with Richard Goode, Paul Lewis, Finghin Collins, Christopher Elton, Barry Douglas, Vanessa Latarche, Leon McCawley, Hilary Coates and Therese Fahy among others.

Audrey studied violin, piano and theory at the College of Music (TUD) in Dublin achieving grade 8 associated Board in all disciplines. She was also a member of their junior, senior and chamber orchestras. She was a multiple prizewinner at Feis Mathiu and Feis Ceoil in both violin and piano. On completing her grades at the College she went on to achieve her Piano diplomas - ALCM (PD) ARIAM and LGSM (TD) under the guidance of Niamh Mc Donagh. She also has a BA(hons)in Music and Psychology. Audrey started her teaching career in Newpark Music Centre where she was Co-founder, Director and Official Accompanist for the Newpark Music Festival. From 1995 to 2022 she was a Piano Tutor for students taking the performance module on the BA/BMus programme at Maynooth University. She has been teaching piano in Artane since 2011. As a performer Audrey has extensive experience as an accompanist at all the Dublin Feiseanna, and has accompanied Instrumental and Vocal Grade Exams, Diplomas, Performance Exams and multiple Choirs. As a Pianist/Keyboardist for Musical Theatre she has played for a broad range of musicals from Annie to Legally Blonde and many more including Irish Premieres of Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Rock of Ages. She has also played with The Artane Bands for their showcase concerts in The Helix. Audrey has also worked as a freelance violinist for TV shows, Operas, Musicals and Orchestral Concerts.During this time she also had the opportunity to play with the Bolshoi Ballet Orchestra for their performances at the RDS Dublin.

Dave has been a professional musician and teacher for over 20 years having studied guitar and drum kit/ Percussion at DIT (now TUD). He has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, the RTE Concert Orchestra and has a busy performing schedule as a musician for musical theatre productions. He has performed in every major venue in Ireland including the National Concert Hall, Three Arena, Bord Gais energy theatre in addition to performing throughout the UK, USA and Europe. Dave teaches all styles of music including pop, rock, classical and jazz. He places the student firmly at the centre of his teaching. Whether you are learning for fun or have ambitions to follow a career in music, Dave tailors his teaching to the specific needs of each student. Past students of Dave have gone on to perform with artists such as. Niall Horan, Dermot Kennedy, Kingfishr, Ed Sheeran, Noah Kahan and the RTE Concert Orchestra.
