Emma Gorman is a music educator and performer who recently completed a Bachelor of Music Education at Trinity College Dublin and Technological University Dublin, where she majored in Performance under the tutelage of Dr Paul Roe. Originally from Co. Cavan, Emma plays both the clarinet and saxophone and began her musical journey at the age of seven. As part of her musical studies, Emma also studied Choral Pedagogy and Music Theory at the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary, further developing her expertise in music education and musicianship. Since then, she has performed on numerous prestigious stages and has been a member of a variety of ensembles and organisations, including the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, the Irish Youth Wind Ensemble (IYWE), the Trinity Orchestra, TUD wind ensemble and Ardee Concert Band. She is currently a member of the Artane Band. Passionate about music education, Emma is committed to sharing her love and knowledge of music with young people. She currently works as a secondary school music teacher and is also involved in leading cross-curricular music education programmes with the National Concert Hall, delivering engaging musical experiences to primary school students. Through both her performance and teaching, Emma strives to inspire others and foster a lifelong appreciation of music.
